2014 Libertarian Party of Nevada Endorsements

Here are the candidate endorsements made by the Libertarian Party of Nevada’s Endorsement Committee for the 2014 Midterm Elections, chosen via an innovative endorsement process LPN dubbed “Speed Dating”, touted by many candidates as the best and funnest endorsement process they’ve experienced, in which candidates faced anywhere from 1-4 committee members at a time for 3-15 minutes (depending on how many interviewers) for interviews to determine whether they represented Libertarian values, values our country was founded on. By the way, do you notice this is not along party lines at all? You’ll see quite a few letters in here, from D to I to L to R. The official 2014 LPN Voter Guide can be found here.

My personal favorites (Jason Nellis, Secretary of the Libertarian Party of Clark County; my personal views do not necessarily reflect those of the Libertarian Party- but the full list below is official) are bolded. To me, the most important races to win are District Court Judge Dept. 19, for CLIFF MARCEK, as his opponent William Kephart is very corrupt in my and many others’ opinions- not an official Libertarian Party opinion but it is mine and very easy to discover why via other blog posts this year- and JASON SMITH for County Commission District F, as he is arguably my favorite Libertarian and has an answer to every challenge you may pose to him (just try arguing him, and having a better answer), and CINDY LAKE for County Commission DIstrict G, as she has (again I guess I’ll say “arguably”) the most prominent figure of the Liberty Movement in Nevada since she was Chairwoman of the Clark County Republican Party in 2012-13, a huge supporter of Ron Paul whom I met volunteering during the Ron Paul presidential campaign, and a hugely active advocate for liberty who attends every County Commission and City Council meeting I can think of. Jason Smith has also been to many of these. Also, we know who the big money is behind, as in many of these races, but I would be completely thrilled if JIM DUENSING were to win the race for District Attorney. Having been wrongly shot by police several years ago and another deeply principled Libertarian who is 100% about fighting to protect our rights, he would definitely be a major step in the right direction. All of these candidates would make it known to the system that our liberties need to be respected and preserved, and we are going to make sure we do not let tyranny prevail.

Most of these are Clark County offices, by far the most populous county in the state of Nevada.

*Also, personally, not on behalf of the Libertarian Party because he was not officially endorsed, I support LARRY BURNS for Sheriff of Clark County, as he seems more inclined to prevent police brutality and hold the LVMPD accountable than his opponent Joe Lombardo.
