Or what aims to start our revolution, starting on Wall Street. I read AdBusters occasionally but somehow I missed this- in July, a feature and ad called for 20,000 protestors to occupy Wall Street on September 17, 2011, and remain for months- until their one demand is met. That day has come, and the people have been arriving. It is certainly not being televised, but how long will the media be able to try to hide the country from what’s going on at the nation’s economic capitol? Already, there are reports that infiltrators and police are trying to agitate and provoke violence, but they often chant “Anyone acting violently- is not a part of us!” Their motivation is “We Are The 99% that will no longer tolerate the greed and corruption of the 1%,” according to Occupy Wall Street. Follow the updates there, as well as at The Examiner (Wall Street People’s Occupation Has Begun).

And a powerful piece here- The call to occupy Wall Street resonates around the world
We need to address the core facts: these corporations, even if they were unable to compete in the electoral arena, would still remain control of society. They would retain economic control, which would allow them to retain political control. Term limits would, again, not solve this, as many in the political class already leave politics to find themselves as part of the corporate elites.
We need to retake the freedom that has been stolen from the people, altogether.
